On Friday, June 19th, Maggie’s will begin outdoor, patio service with recommended social distancing, masked servers, single-use service items and other safety-related conditions. We do this after careful consideration and consultation with local experts. Staff will have their temperatures checked and recorded and will be screened for symptoms prior to every shift. They will be masked and gloved.
We will also continue to remain open for take-out and delivery at this time. We believe the most respectful and prudent path to keep our community, guests and staff safe is to open for in-house dining when the criteria for opening set forth by the CDC are met. We have heard from many of you about how anxious you are to get back to normal and get back to Maggie’s. We are also. We hope you respect our decision to wait even if it is controversial for some of you.
THE PATIO OPENING DOES NOT REFLECT A BELIEF THAT EITHER IOWA OR OUR COUNTRY IS GETTING BACK TO NORMAL. IN FACT, OUR ACTIONS HIGHLIGHT THE SITUATION IN WHICH RELATIVELY EXTREME MEASURES ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE POSSIBLE A SMOOTH TRANSITION TO THE NORMALCY WE WOULD ALL LIKE.
If you have any comments or concerns please e-mail to : firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message on the restaurant phone (319-351-4588).
We look forward to your continued support and seeing you for dinner on a beautiful summer evening!
